The Okanagan Kootenay Cherry Growers’ Association (OKCGA) was founded in 1998 to enable BC cherry growers to pool their resources for research and development of this rapidly growing industry. Since then, the OKCGA has initiated and co-funded over 60 research projects to meet a variety of production and marketing challenges, in support of the economic viability and environmental sustainability of cherry production in BC. The scope of the organization has broadened to work with other aspects including labour, post harvest, pest management issues, regulations, and trade. The OKCGA operates on a purely voluntary basis, without staff, in order to maximize the research investment of growers’ funds. ...Grow with Knowledge... Prosper through Understanding
